COERR Mae Hong Son Organized Training of Trainers (TOT) in Disaster Risk Reduction. Curriculum comprised first aid in emergency, rope using and knots tying, fire prevention and extinguishing techniques, community map making, setting up of community disaster prevention and mitigation committee, disaster drill, etc. Trainer team came from Khun Yuam Subdistrict Municipality, Mueang Mae Hong Son District Municipality and Srisungwan Hospital. The training was held on October 22, 2020 in Ban Mae Surin Temporary Shelter, with 30 participants of 24 male and 6 female. The other event was held on October 29, 2020 in which there were 41 participants of 32 male and 9 female. The objective of the training was to have a Community Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Team set up in each camp so that the team can perform as working group for disaster risk reduction; and provide training and capacity building for 200 DRR volunteers in their communities. The skills should eventually be useful in their future repatriation. During November-December, COERR Mae Sot organized Training in Disaster Risk Reduction in two Temporary Shelters. During November 4-7, 2020, training was held in Ban Mae La Temporary Shelter, Tha Song Yang District in Tak Province, about First Aid and Rescue Operation, ardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Basic Fire Extinguisher Training and COVID-19 Prevention, for Displaced Persons, mostly youth, numbering 218, consisting of 181 female and 37 male. Later, during December 11 and 21, 2020, training about Disaster Risk Reduction, focusing on Fire Prevention was held in Ban Umpiem Temporary Shelter, Phop Phra District in Tak Province, for 140 youth of 95 female and 45 male.
